Bipasha not too happy with John

While John Abraham used Simi Garewal's show Simi Selects India's Most Desirable to extend an olive branch to his ex Bipasha, Bipasha hasn't quite taken to it.

The actress had her say courtesy her Twitter page: "I don't need to be on a talk show to prove my goodness! My relationship with John Abraham is over for good - for reasons known best to the both of us."

She further added to her rant, saying, "What happens between two people is supposed to stay between the two when it's over, that's the dignity that I have grown up with and the respect I deserve."

John thought that a public outpouring on Simi's show was the best way to let Bipasha know how sorry he feels about the big bad break up. So he re-shot the show, poured his out heart out and said it like he felt it and then 12 minutes of the segment were cut at the editing table.

On the other hand, Bipasha may be linked to all the single hotties out there - from Rana Daggubati to Josh Hartnett and even Shahid - but she knows what she wants. "Waking upto stories about my life everyday is no fun! Making me sound tragic when I am in a happy place is not ok with me!"

It's clear that Bipasha is single, ready to mingle and loving it, but is John regretting the break-up or envying her happy place. That is something we'll never know. 

Shah Rukh Khan Held by Custom Officials

The latest celebrity to be held by custom officials is none other than King Khan himself.

He joins the growing list of Bollywood celebrities who have been held up at the airport by custom officials.

Shah Rukh was detained at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport when the custom officers grew suspicious of the excess baggage that accompanied SRK and his family back from a vacation in Holland and London. He was stopped for further interrogation while his family was allowed to leave the airport.

Later he was allowed to leave after paying Rs. 1.5 lakhs as a fine for his excess of 20 bags. Though the sum might be a small amount for SRK, it sure is quite an amount for an ordinary man returning from his vacation.

Earlier, Bipasha Basu was also faced with a similar situation and was detained at the Mumbai airport on her return from London, owing to excess baggage.

She too was let off only after paying off Rs. 12,000 as tax against the goods that she had brought along.

There have been several Bollywood stars who have come under the Customs scanner before and have had to go through a tough ordeal.

Meanwhile Shah Rukh has also been in the news for showering expensive gifts upon his friends. While he gifted Sanjay Dutt a custom-made cruiser motorcycle imported from Italy and a designer watch, he also gave Priyanka Chopra a limited edtion acoustic guitar as her birthday gift. SRK definitely seems to be on a spending spree, either by will or because of the law.

'Bipasha Basu's dating Shahid Kapoor'

Bipasha Basu is glowing these days. Her good friends have been talking about the new mystery man in her life for weeks now, but the dusky actress has so far only admitted to dating "someone new", refusing to reveal his identity. The secret is out now. TOI has learnt that the screen siren has been dating Shahid Kapoor!

Says a source, "For over a month now, Bipasha has been talking about a very sweet guy in her life. She's been telling friends that he's an eligible young man and has been showering her with gifts and some much-needed attention. She's been gushing to her friends about how "sweet and affectionate" he is. Bips maintains that while they are not serious yet, he's been wooing her persistently and she's basking in the warmth of his adoration."

Considering they've never worked together, everyone's wondering how the two met. Apparently they were introduced by Shahid's trainer, Abbas. Shahid is as much of a fitness junkie as Bipasha — that was a common bonding subject the first time they met. "Obviously they are only just getting to know each other, so Bips doesn't want to jinx it by talking openly about Shahid," says the source.

Both Bipasha and Shahid have recently split from their long-time partners ( John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra, respectively) and don't want their budding romance to come under the spotlight. A couple of weeks ago, however, Shahid was spotted with hickeys on his neck during a shoot and people on the unit pulled his leg about it. He refused to comment on the mystery lady who 'marked' him, but was later spotted out and about with Bips. Adds the source, "On Saturday night, Shahid hosted a small party at his newly-renovated Andheri home. There were about 20 guests, and Bipasha was also present. Shahid had invited only a handful of his close friends, including Siddharth Anand, Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Ayesha Takia and husband Farhan Azmi, Ahmed Khan, so her presence there raised quite a few eyebrows."

When asked, Bipasha claims she hardly knows Shahid. His spokesperson on the other hand says, "They are friends, just as he is friends with other people in the industry. The news of them dating is untrue." Ho hum!

Bollywood stars arrive in Israel in bid to boost India-Israel ties

Members of Indian film community arrive in Israel as part of 'Project Interchange' to explore joint ventures, scout location sites, attend Jerusalem International Film Festival tour country.

A group of Indian Bollywood stars are set to arrive in Israel on Sunday to explore joint ventures and scout location sites as part of the American Jewish Committee’s (AJC) “Project Interchange” in conjunction with the Australia/Israel Jewish Affairs Council. 

The project’s Executive Director, Sam Witkin, called the exchange “part of a broad initiative by Project Interchange and AJC to deepen bilateral ties between Israel and India.” 

The Bollywood moguls will be attending the Jerusalem International Film Festival that began last week and will run through Saturday.

“I have visited all the important film festivals in the world and have always dreamed of visiting Israel, especially Jerusalem,” said senior delegation member Supran Sen, Secretary General of the Film Federation of India. “I am very much fascinated by this visit.”

“Gangor”, an Indian film by prominent producer Vinod Kumar who is Managing Director at Nirvana Motion Pictures and Secretary General and Founding Member of the Film Foundation of India, will be screened at the festival. Kumar is currently in Israel as part of the exchange program.
 
The Indian delegation is comprised of nine Indian film professionals, and will meet with Israel’s leading directors and producers, such as Yoram Globus, head of Globus Group Israel Studios, and Israel Horowitz, Globus Group CEO and General Director. The group will also meet with key figures in Israeli technological innovation, including Jerusalem Venture Partners Chair and Partner Uri Adoni, and Renen Schorr, Chairman of the New Foundation for Cinema and Television.

"I am eagerly looking forward to meeting the filmmakers and creative talent from Israel,” said filmmaker Abhishek Sharma, of Walkwater Media. “This is a golden opportunity for the artists of the two countries to explore areas and themes of common interest and take the relationship between our two industries to the next level. With a country that is so rich in talent and culture, our Israeli counterparts can surely enrich and contribute to the colorful film industry of India."

The delegation will tour throughout Israel, visiting Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Masada and the Dead Sea, all while looking for potential filming sites.

“We from India come with our strengths, to learn of your strengths, so that we can collaborate and take our love and passion for cinema to the next level,” said Three’s Company Productions Producer and Director Shirish Kunder.

The group will meet with meet with political figures as well and will be addressed by Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon, Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai, and other influential figures across the political and social spectrum.

"I find that Israelis and Indians both have strong family bonds,” observed Producer Sundeep “Bobby” Bedi, Kaleidiscope Studios Founder. “I look forward to a heightened creative interaction.”

 

Who is Bipasha's mystery man?

Bipasha claims that she is single these days and is enjoying her single status, but reportedly Bips has developed something for white men. After her split with John Abraham and alleged link-up with Josh Hartnett, Bipasha is again being linked up with someone from Russia.

Her link-up with Josh Hartnett was also news as Josh had split with his Norwegian girlfriend Sophie Lie after meeting Bipasha. But, that’s not the case and Bips has reportedly moved on to someone else.

Hopefully, we wish Bipasha finds her soulmate soon.

Bipasha gets a sexy navel piercing!

Of late, the hottest buzz surrounding the Bollywood bombshell Bipasha Basu is that the dusky beauty has recently got a sexy navel piercing.

Reportedly, the Bong beauty shared this news with her friends and fans on the micro-blogging site Twitter, and articulated that she had the desire to get her navel pierced from the age of 16.

Speaking about her navel piercing, Bipasha tweeted, “Frm d age of 16 wanted 2 get a navel piercing! Finally I gt guts 2 do it! Looks great bt it heals slowly! Can't workout much fr d next 15days! Thank u all for sharing ur healing tips with me! Can't post a pix now! Still healing! Will soon plan a chat with u all! Love!' she updated.”

However, the hottie revealed that she was afraid of injections and the pain which the piercing would have caused and thus, she didn’t go for it before.

“I was really scared. I got it done at Aalim's place. This guy from Al's who did it, I had gone to him about 11 years back but got so scared that I ran away out of fear. 

“This time, for the last two days, I was trying to chicken out but my friend Deanne (Pandey) and my sisters dragged me there. They think a navel jewel will look fab on me. But in the process of doing it, I actually passed out! I have been scared of injections since childhood, but I think I will get over my fear after this," the actress told Mid-Day.

Bips is missing Josh
Gossipmongers have suggested that Bipasha, who after her splitsville with beau John, was apparently dating Josh Hartnett, is now single again as her new boyfriend has reportedly patched-up with his ex-flame Sophie Lie.

Bipasha and Josh drew closer to one another while shooting for the Hollywood flick ‘Singularity’.

Incidentally, their alleged love affair didn’t blossom and Bips is all lonely once again.

Talking about Bipasha’s affection for Josh, a source said, "She misses him immensely and puts his photos on her Blackberry. And when people ask her about him, all she does is blush and smile coyly."

However, she was always too scared to do it because of the pain. Now, she has finally gotten over her fear and got the tummy piercing done last weekend.

Bipasha confirms, "Yes, I got my navel pierced. I was really scared. I got it done at Aalim's place. This guy from Al's who did it, I had gone to him about 11 years back but got so scared that I ran away out of fear.
