Warring Couple Sonam-Shahid Are Friends Again

All those interviews that you're seeing with the Mausam pair enjoying each other's company with giggly pleasure…. attribute them to the persuasive powers of Shahid Kapoor.

When Shahid had a house-warming party on at his newly-renovated apartment at Raj Classic in Andheri for his close friends, invitees were surprised to see Sonam present.

Since when had she become Shahid's friend? Everyone at the intimate party wondered.

It's a well-known fact by now that Shahid and Sonam are two different individuals and actors with irreconcilable differences about their approach to work.

There was constant friction during the shooting engendered by their different work methods. The differences of opinion vanished just as suddenly as they started.

During the last schedule of Mausam in Mumbai Shahid, always the one in charge, sat his co-star down for a long meeting.

Says a source, “Shahid was the one who initiated the long meeting. He felt that if the differences between them continued, Shahid's father the film's director Pankaj Kapoor and the film, in that order, would suffer.

Shahid sat Sonam down and explained to her why it was imperative for them to out up compatible front and put an end to all the talk about the friction and fights between them.

Shahid reasoned with his co-star that they were doing an intense love story together. If the audience thought of them as a warring couple it would prejudice them against the passion that they shared in Mausam. ”

In brief Shahid asked his co-star to put on her best performing abilities for the sake of the film. Sonam agreed to play along.

Says the source, “They were never at war or anything. They were just two different persons. Shahid decided to push their differences under the carpet, so they could project a compatible picture for the publicity. ”

Shahid Kapoor, Sonam bury the hatchet

Actors Sonam Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor were known not to be the best of friends while shooting for 'Mausam'. For starters, Sonam refused to do a kissing scene for the movie, and is known to have had a problem with the schedules and time lines.

However, with the film nearing its released date, Shahid and Sonam Kapoor seem to have kissed and made up. The two are have been extremely cordial with each other. While Sonam said that she got along fantastically with her male co-star, Shahid is all praise for the lady's sens of fashion, and insists that she has made him more fashion conscious.

With the trailers of 'Mausam' having gone on air, it's good that both SKs have put their differences behind, and are on the same page.

Sonakshi doesn't want to work with Shahid

Sonakshi Sinha is the sorts who might forgive but won't forget. The Dabangg actress was in talks with Shahid for his home production Mausam.

She was to be the leading lady opposite Shahid. But things didn't work out as the makers felt that the two wouldn't look good on screen. There were plans to hold a screen test, but Sonakshi was put off with the way things were being discussed.

The major bone of contention was that she wasn't informed about Sonam being signed on to do the film. She only go to know when the reports came out in the media. However, now tables have turned and Shahid is more than keen on working with the actress. A source reveals, "Dabangg is a massive hit and it has made Sonakshi hot property. He definitely wants to work with her, but she isn't that keen after what happened in the past."

Buzz is that Kapur has been sending feelers to the actresss through common friends but Sonakshi is not interested. So, here's one jodi you won't see on screen anytime soon.

'Bipasha Basu's dating Shahid Kapoor'

Bipasha Basu is glowing these days. Her good friends have been talking about the new mystery man in her life for weeks now, but the dusky actress has so far only admitted to dating "someone new", refusing to reveal his identity. The secret is out now. TOI has learnt that the screen siren has been dating Shahid Kapoor!

Says a source, "For over a month now, Bipasha has been talking about a very sweet guy in her life. She's been telling friends that he's an eligible young man and has been showering her with gifts and some much-needed attention. She's been gushing to her friends about how "sweet and affectionate" he is. Bips maintains that while they are not serious yet, he's been wooing her persistently and she's basking in the warmth of his adoration."

Considering they've never worked together, everyone's wondering how the two met. Apparently they were introduced by Shahid's trainer, Abbas. Shahid is as much of a fitness junkie as Bipasha — that was a common bonding subject the first time they met. "Obviously they are only just getting to know each other, so Bips doesn't want to jinx it by talking openly about Shahid," says the source.

Both Bipasha and Shahid have recently split from their long-time partners ( John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra, respectively) and don't want their budding romance to come under the spotlight. A couple of weeks ago, however, Shahid was spotted with hickeys on his neck during a shoot and people on the unit pulled his leg about it. He refused to comment on the mystery lady who 'marked' him, but was later spotted out and about with Bips. Adds the source, "On Saturday night, Shahid hosted a small party at his newly-renovated Andheri home. There were about 20 guests, and Bipasha was also present. Shahid had invited only a handful of his close friends, including Siddharth Anand, Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Ayesha Takia and husband Farhan Azmi, Ahmed Khan, so her presence there raised quite a few eyebrows."

When asked, Bipasha claims she hardly knows Shahid. His spokesperson on the other hand says, "They are friends, just as he is friends with other people in the industry. The news of them dating is untrue." Ho hum!

Break up with Shahid has taken a toll on Priyanka Chopra

The actress has gone on an impulsive two-week holiday to US Priyanka Chopra has taken off for an impromptu two-week holiday. The actress left for the US immediately after attending the film awards event in Toronto. "She needs to destress, " says a source. "PC has been going through a lot of tension." Barely had she finished with 7 Khoon Maaf that she plunged into Agneepath, where she plays the role of a sex worker's daughter trying to leave her past behind. Then there is Burfee where she needed intense preparation for her part as a mentally challenged girl." The source continues, "Then came Kunal Kohli's film where she not only had to play several characters going through various phases, she also had to face the camera with Shahid Kapoor with whom her relationship is under constant scrutiny." All this has apparently, taken a toll on her. She has decided to take some time off to be with people whom she can be herself with. Adds the source, "She has gone through professional and personal setbacks. Anjaana Anjaani and 7 Khoon Maaf under-performed at the box-office. Personally too, she has been going through a tough phase." The actress will spend her holiday connecting with people who have nothing to do with her profession and stardom. Says the source, "She's visiting friends and and family in the US.This is her way of staying rooted to reality. Outwardly, Priyanka seems a very strong self-dependent girl but, only she knows how much of an effort it has been to shoot with Shahid after they've called off their relationship. The one friend during this stressful period has been Shah Rukh Khan. But people have started making uncomfortable insinuations which have hurt her. She wanted to get away from it all."
