Kim Cattrall listened to masseuse for role

Kim Cattrall paid a masseuse $250 a week - to speak to her.

The British-born actress was struggling to adapt the right dialect for her role as an ageing former porn star-turned-stripper in 'Meet Monica Velour' so was happy to pay the huge sum when she found someone who had the accent she was trying to mimic.

She said: "The most difficult thing was to find Monica's dignity.

"She smokes, she drinks. She's from the South, so the voice had to be huskier than mine.

"I eventually found a masseuse who had just the right voice. I was paying her $250 a week just to listen to her speak."

While she enjoyed making the movie, Kim admits she found her first strip scene, in which her character is mocked, particularly difficult and ended up crying in her dressing room.

She admitted in an interview with the Daily Mail newspaper: "When I was filming the first strip scene, I was surrounded by proper dancers as extras. They'd all looked after their bodies, they knew how to move and it made the contrast with me more obvious.

"Part of the scene was all the jeering Monica had to put up with. By the end, I fled to my dressing room and cried my eyes out. I'm not made of stone."

Katie Price says 'goodbye' to unlucky house

Katie Price moving house this weekend - and she can't wait to say "goodbye" to the unlucky home.

The blonde beauty has sold her mansion in Woldingham, Surrey, South East England, and is moving her belongings out with the help of her boyfriend Leandro Penna and her friends.

And it seems the move couldn't come soon enough for Katie as she claims the property - which she shared with second husband Alex Reid, who she dumped in January after just 11 months of marriage - is full of bad memories for her.

She wrote on her twitter account: " Finally said goodbye to the house I lived in for 3 years onwards and upwards from here not good memories there! new house new start wooo hooo (sic)"

Once she has moved into her new house - which is believed to be a £2 million mansion in West Sussex, Southern England - Katie is going to go on holiday with Leandro.

The author-and-TV star - who has three kids, Harvey, nine, with retired soccer player Dwight Yorke, and Junior, six, and Princess Tiaamii, four, from her first marriage to Peter Andre - added in another tweet: "Me & leo & big gay mafia can't wait to go on holiday counting the days! leo & mafia are moving my house stuff its all hair&makeup for me&gary. (sic)"

Junior and Princess are currently on holiday with their dad Peter on a cruise of the Mediterranean with their grandparents and other Andre family members.

Nicky Hilton splits from boyfriend

Nicky Hilton
Nicky Hilton has split from her boyfriend.

The socialite is said to have "quietly" called time on her four-year romance with
David Katzenberg because their conflicting work schedules meant they were not spending much time together.

A source told the
New York Post newspaper: "They broke up quietly after four years together. The main reason was that they have been busy with their work schedules, and it has made it difficult to spend time together.

"Nicky has been back and forth travelling overseas a lot with her business. She has recently been in
Asia promoting her jewellery line, and David is starting a new production company. Their schedules never seemed to match."

Pals insist the split is amicable and the pair have continued to talk and communicate regularly via social networking website twitter.

The source added: "There is no scandal or any third person - they remain close friends, they have been friends since they were teenagers."

Nicky has been getting over the split by spending time with her sister
Paris Hilton - and came close to meeting a new man when she accidentally walked into a speed dating event.

She tweeted yesterday (28.07.11): "OMG. @ParisHilton and I just walked into the wrong restaurant and into a speed dating party by a mistake. Lol.

"Its a matchmaking event. Everyone had name tags. People sit + chat and then whistle blows and they go on to next mini date.

Don't worry, everyone: Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan are friends again!

After being shoved out of the limelight by former friend Kim Kardashian, it looks like Paris Hilton is taking one step back into the fame game, returning to where she started -- hanging out with C-list celebrities like Lindsay Lohan.

The socialite has refueled her friendship with the troubled starlet, RadarOnline reports. According to the outlet, Hilton and Lohan were spotted dining together at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Palisades, California on Thursday night.

The new/old BFFs haven't been spotted together in years, but according to reports, Lohan was seen at the heiress' beach bash in Malibu last week.

Lohan may be enjoying her new-found freedom after weeks of being locked up in her swanky Venice, California beach pad, but according to a source, the actress is fully aware how the public perceived her late-night jaunts with friends and is now determined to change her ways (because countless court-dates weren't motivation enough).

According to TMZ, a source claims that Lohan is committing herself to a healthier, more active life, and is trying to cut back on the late-night excursions, giving the public a reason to believe that she is a new woman.
And nothing says healthy and happy (and not on probation for DUI) like a bicycle. The website snapped a pic of Lohan taking her new, blue, two-wheeled ride around town.

On the bright side, at least she'll be able to cut down on her costs so she can afford that court.

Olivia Wilde to play porn star Linda Lovelace

Olivia Wilde
Olivia Wilde has revealed that she is considering playing the role of a porn star in a forthcoming biopic on Linda Lovelace.

"It would be a tremendous honour," the New York Daily News quoted Wilde as telling E! Online.

"It's such a cool role. She was a fascinating woman -- with where she came from to 'Deep Throat' to then working with Gloria Steinem and Nora Ephron. It's really fascinating," she added.

The film is being developed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, who scripted and directed James Franco's 'Howl' in 2010, and rumours are everywhere of Franco considering taking up a role in the biopic as well.

Von Teese proud of her debut perfume

Dita Von Teese
American actress Dita Von Teese says she is proud of her debut perfume, which would have a wide appeal.

The burlesque dancer decided to create a signature scent after her boyfriend's mother started wearing the one she had worn all her life, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"My signature fragrance that I had been wearing since I was 14 was Quelques Fleurs, and I had to stop wearing it because my boyfriend's mother started wearing it. So that was a perfect time to develop my own fragrance," she said.

"It's a fragrance for everyone, and I'm really proud of the level of sophistication we reached - both with the packaging and the fragrance," she added.

Want to be a celebrity nanny?

 Angelina does and Brad Pitt
Have you ever wondered how Angelina does it all? Shoot a movie in Venice, vacation in France with her hunky husband Brad Pitt, stopover on the way and adopt a child or two to add to her ever-growing brood of children - all this, without a hair out place (and God forbid, her lipstick be faded or her nails chipped!)

Well, the answer is nannies. So, the next time you see the Pitt-Jolie crew strut along in a paparazzi shot, remember not too far behind lurks an entourage of nannies who were carefully left out of the picture.

And a Brangelina nanny can put even
Mary Poppins to shame. In a recent ad they put out, the couple listed out the qualities their nanny must possess. She must have a degree in education or child development and speak at least two different languages, as well as the native tongues of their children. Some celebs like their nannies to be professional ballerinas while star kids like Suri Cruise can ask daddy Tom Cruise to procure a nanny who looks just like "Mary Poppins". Tom Cruise actually humoured his daughter by putting in a call to acting agencies.

But all the above nannier fare better compared to what
Gwyneth Paltrow expects of her nanny. The lucky woman who will get to take care of Apple and Moses must possess a classical education, including Greek and Latin, be fluent in at least three languages (preferably including Mandarin or Japanese), be musically fluent in two instruments, be passionate about sailing and tennis, and enjoy art history or martial arts.

Did we just call her a lucky woman? Well yes, because these celeb nannies enjoy perks that non celeb nannies couldn't dream of. The "candidate must be prepared to travel the globe with the family," the ad put out by Brangelina states. Add a hefty pay packet to that - $90, 000 and in Gwyneth's case 60,000 pounds - and what you have is hundreds of young women across the globe hankering for the coveted position.

Just type the words, "How to be a celebrity nanny" into any internet search engine and you have millions of nanny agencies turn up that cater to "celebrity clients". There are also numerous suggestions as to how to go about becoming a nanny (move to New York, wait tables at high-profile restaurants that celebs frequent etc)

Nanny-gates

If the ridiculously high salary and the chance to travel around the globe is not enough motivation for an average young woman, well they might also stand a chance to hook up with that-hot-Hollywood-star. Ethan Hawke dumped his gorgeous wife, "Kill Bill" star Uma Therman for Ryan Shawhughes - his nanny. Jude Law also strayed from his marriage to sexy British actress Sienna Miller for a role in the hay with nanny Daisy Wright, though he didn't marry but we can't say the same for Robin Williams, who did marry his son's nanny. Rob Lowe was caught in a bitter scandal where two of his nannies alleged that he had sexually harassed them and exposed himself to them.

Famous nannies

One of the most famous nannies in Hollywood happens to be Marva who has cared for many famous celebrity babies including Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon's son Deacon, Julia Roberts and Danny Moder's twins Phinnaeus and Hazel and David Arquette and Courtney Cox's daughter Coco. In any case, a career as a celebrity nanny is a good investment, since it may make you a reality star or a bestselling author if you choose to dish on the family you served for later. Tori Spelling's nanny Patsy starred in Spellings' reality show and has been eulogized by Tori in several of her blogs. Meanwhile Beckhams' nanny Abbie Gibson accused him constantly cheating on Victoria Beckham and made it to the front pages of most papers in Britain. Madonna's manny (male nanny) almost wrote an entire tell all book on her and ex hubby Guy Ritchie's life.

The N word

Hollywood likes to pretend that the term "nanny" does not exist in its books. Heidi Klum still says in her interviews that she doesn't believe in hiring nannies. Ditto for Kate Hudson and Jennifer Lopez (Both of whom, have been spotted with their nannies several times). Katie Holmes is seen doting over little fashionista Suri, we seldom see the nanny who caters to all her demands (though the fact that the nanny carries around a 2000 dollar Dolce and Gabbana bag is of some consolation). No matter how ridiculous it may seem to see Victoria 'managing' her little boys in six-inch heels and pretending there is no paid help in sight - everybody knows she does.

In fact says Leslie Gornstein, a Los Angeles-based freelance entertainment writer and reporter,"It's not unusual for even minor stars to have at least two to three nannies per child: one for day, one for night, one for weekends and travel."

Anne Hathaway praises Jake Gyllenhaal

Anne Hathaway insists Jake Gyllenhaal is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood.

The actress has starred with the heartthrob actor in two movies and insists he is always a pleasure to work with as he hasn't let his fame and sex symbol status make him arrogant.

She said: "I know actors always say this about each other but he really is lovely. I worked with him on 'Brokeback Mountain' and then five years later on 'Love and Other Drugs'; he was a great guy then and still is. He's a real person.

"That's a weird compliment, but someone's as good looking as he is, with as much adoration from such a young age, they could easily be a nightmare, or stuck-up jerk. But he's a good guy."

Jake isn't the only person in Hollywood Anne admires.

The 28-year-old screen star has a great deal of respect for Helena Bonham Carter and her partner, director Tim Burton, for the way they live their lives and their approaches to movie making.

She added to new! magazine: "I worked with them on 'Alice In Wonderland' and they're just so lovely. Tim marches to his own beat and he doesn't hear, or worry, about anyone else. I think that's something that he and Helena have in common. They're just living their own lives, as themselves, and they really don't care what people think. I find that so liberating. I really just think they're the coolest people on the planet."

Bond star Daniel Craig has B'wood on his mind

Come Friday, and Daniel Craig a.k.a James Bond will be seen in yet a new avatar. This time, as a cowboy fighting aliens in Jon Favreau's science fiction movie Cowboys And Aliens. In a candid chat with Hitlist, he talks about his professional and personal escapades.

Tell us something about Cowboys And Aliens? And about playing a cowboy fighting with aliens?

I play a stranger who stumbles into the hard-bitten town of Absolution. He wakes up in the middle of the desert with no memory and a fancy metallic bracelet on! It's brilliant what the writers did because the part was always very sort of enigmatic. Any dialogue we felt we didn't need, we just cut out. Because it's all about a character that doesn't have to explain what he's doing, he just does it.

How was your experience working With Harrison Ford?

This is the first time I have worked with Ford. I feel very lucky indeed. He's a really nice, generous and funny man. And he is an actor who just wants to get it right.

What prompted you to do this movie?

I've always wanted to play a cowboy. It's as simple as that. And I kind of got it. I saw the title Cowboys and Aliens and I thought, 'Okay, it's going to be something funny'. And actually the script read straight. It's funny, but it isn't gags every minute and all that, it is a straight cowboy movie and then suddenly the aliens turn up. I found the concept very interesting, so I spoke to my agent and said, ''I'd love to see this film because it will be a lot of fun.' And he said 'Well, they want you in it...' And we went from there.

What about your upcoming films? Also, when do we see you back as Bond?

My next is David Fincher's screen version of Stieg Larsson's international bestselling novel, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I will back as Bond soon with Bond 23.

You just got married to Rachel Weisz! It was so impromptu, what do you have to say?

Well, yeah, it was. We were in love and we got married.

What's your take on India as a market for Hollywood productions?

I think it's a huge market. My last two Bond movies did a good business in India.

What about doing Indian films? Has anything come your way?

Nothing has come my way yet, but if things work out then why not?

Some scenes from the next Bond are to be shot in India.

Yes, that's true and I am absolutely thrilled about it.

If ever a Bond girl were to be selected from Bollywood, would you any preference?

I don't know any Bollywood actress personally, but Indian women are very beautiful and they will surely make wonderful Bond girls.

I did not steal anyone's husband: Denise Richards

Actress Denise Richards says that she is not the reason of American rock guitarist Richie Sambora's divorce with wife Heather Locklear, insisting he had already filed for divorce before she fell in love with the rocker.

Richards found love with the Bon Jovi star in 2006, soon after she ended her marriage to actor Charlie Sheen.

"We (her and Sambora) were friends and we were both going through divorces, and that's what drew us to each other... I did not steal someone's husband. Did I date a former friend's ex-husband? Yes. Did I break up a marriage? No," dailystar.co.uk quoted Richards as saying.

"If I was still friends with (Locklear), that never would have happened with Richie. There was no friendship anymore prior to Richie and I getting together," she added.

US actress pleads guilty to harassment

Actress Paz de la Huerta, one of the stars of the television series Boardwalk Empire, pleaded guilty in a Manhattan court to a minor harassment charge for a fight she had last March with model Samantha Swetra at a New York hotel.

The US actress, 26, will not go to jail but must serve a day of community service and take classes of alcohol counseling for 10 weeks, since the ruckus occurred while she was inebriated, the daily New York Post said.

De la Huerta was arrested on the night of March 20 for allegedly throwing a glass and some punches at Swetra, known for her part in the MTV reality show The City, giving her a bloody nose and mouth injuries.

According to the accusation, De la Huerta tried to avoid arrest on the night of the dispute, telling cops that "I'm a real actress on HBO!" referring to the TV network that airs her series, and called Swetra "a fake actress publicity-seeker", the New York Post said.

The TMZ celebrity website said in turn that what sparked the dispute was De la Huerta coming on to a male friend of the model, so that "Sam got defensive".

The site said that Swetra's sarcastic comments about about how boozed up the actress was got De la Huerta so incensed she threw a glass at her and punched her in the face.

Chris Evans undergoes therapy to cope with fame

Hollywood actor Chris Evans says that therapy helps him get over his anxieties as he struggles to cope with the pressures of fame.

The 30-year-old Captain America: The First Avenger star says he often struggles being in the public glare and so has arranged professional help in the past to give him support and advice, reported Contactmusic.

"I struggle with anxiety sometimes, especially when promoting films like this. Just the life of doing what I do, being in the public eye, it's a stressful environment. So it's good to go and talk about the things that cause your anxiety," said Evans.

The actor, who pumped up his muscles for his role as the patriotic superhero says that he finds it hard to talk about himself when promoting his movies as he is a very private person.

"It's very difficult for me to talk about myself. You feel strange, self-aware, very foolish. Your third eye clicks on, just to try and maintain a healthy sense of perspective and you think, 'What am I doing here? I'm just making a movie, and people want all these things from me.'

"It seems strange to have so much fuss over a film. I'm an incredibly private person," he added.

Kate Moss to write her autobiography?

Supermodel Kate Moss is all set to write her autobiography after being encouraged by her new husband Jamie Hince.

Moss, 37, who married The Kills rocker in the Cotswolds, South West England, earlier this month, has already started typing up her life story.

The book could reveal about her previous relationships with Johnny Depp and Pete Doherty, reported Sun online.

"Kate has always held back from giving interviews so the public don't know what she's really like and what's she gone through in her life.

"She's never opened up about her parents' divorce, having daughter Lila or her relationships with former boyfriends including Johnny Depp and Pete Doherty. Her fans will be desperate to read it and she'll make an absolute fortune," a source said.

The catwalk queen, who has eight-year-old daughter Lila from a previous relationship with publisher Jefferson Hack, is set to start trying for a baby with Hince.

"Kate wants babies. I keep telling her to. She loves kids. The wedding was amazing and all the partying has been done. So now children is the next step," her friend Bobby Gillespie said.

We catch up with Stewart and Lautner to talk Breaking Dawn

We cornered Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner last week in San Diego to see if we could squeeze any “Breaking Dawn” spoilers out of them; didn’t have much luck, but Taylor did suggest we’ll be seeing his abs again – so that’s enough to hold us over, right!?

The previous films were fairly close to the books; what about ”Breaking Dawn”?
Kristen : It’s pretty true to the book – so if that’s what you thought about the previous films you’ll definitely [feel the same with Breaking Dawn].  The story this time is a little bit more life and death, in a realistic sense – - what with Bella pregnant with a demon baby. It’s the first time, I think, that you’re not worried about Edward and Bella breaking up, they’re actually working through issues that are kind of make or break… I don’t know how to say it without giving away all the story.

What do you think about them splitting “Breaking Dawn” into two movies
Taylor : I think it’s perfect; it needed to be done. This Part 1 is amazing, I can’t wait for everyone to see it.

Would you say this was the most difficult book to bring to the big screen?
Absolutely. It was very challenging. There was a lot of stuff that was just.. difficult to show.. difficult to do.. and Jacob goes through a lot – I mean, his number one goal has been to always end up with Bella, and of course we know that doesn’t exactly happen; from the beginning of the movie to the end he changes a lot.. he’s forced to mature.

What do you remember from the very last day of shooting?
Kristen : The very last day of shooting I was in a wetsuit and – I’d been in the water for like ten-hours, literally; it was tough to ‘get the light’ or whatever – I ran over to my producer Godfrey and wrapped my legs around his waist, because he didn’t get in the water all night; so I took him on in, it was fun.

And Taylor, will we get to see more of your Abs before the “Twilight” series comes to an end?
Taylor : [Laughs] Um.. I’m not sure, I’ll guess you’ll have to wait and see.

Kids ask about marriage more and more: Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt, who is raising six children with partner Angelina Jolie, reveals that his choices have changed after becoming a father. Now, before signing on any movie, he thinks about what his kids will see.

"I think that after becoming a father, I am changing in my choices. Today, everything I do, I look at in the context of what my kids are going to see and feel. I think about everything I do now - what my kids are gonna see, how they're gonna feel. But I think they know me as a dad; I hope they would just think I'm a pretty damn good actor," Pitt said in an e-mail interaction with IANS from Los Angeles.

Pitt and Jolie have been together since 2005. They are raising six kids -- adopted children Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, and Zahara, 6, and biological children Shiloh, 5, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

The 47-year-old also hinted that there are chances of him marrying his actress girlfriend as they are being pressurised by their children to do so.

"The kids ask about marriage. It's meaning more and more to them. So it's something we've got to look at. If Angie and I feel it's important for the kids, then we'll get married," said Pitt.

Known for hits like Mr and Mrs Smith, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Ocean's Eleven, Pitt had shot for The Mighty Heart in Pune, India.

"While in Pune, I went for a motorbike ride all by myself. I was so fascinated by the chaos, the traffic, different rules we have been having that I wanted to get out on the road. So I bought a helmet and was able to ride around quite peacefully."

He enjoyed being in India but when he comes to Bollywoood movies, Pitt says, "I don't know a lot. I can't sing and dance."

The actor is upbeat about his new film, Tree of Life that released in India Friday (July 29). Directed by Terrence Malick, the film earned rave reviews at the Cannes Film Festival. It received the prestigious 2011 Golden Palm (Palme d'Or) award at film festival.

"For me, the adults that we are are the direct result of the children we were. In this sense The Tree of Life follows the lives of three brothers who move between a loving mother, who represents the purest goodness, and a father, who is a human with his own faults," he said.

The film also stars Sean Penn and Jessica Chastain.

Jay Sean to perform in India

Rakhi Sawant inspired by Kim Kardashian!

Rakhi Sawant recently shocked the makers of her new show Gajab Desh Ki Ajab Kahaniyan by demanding C-string panties. She’s now revealed her inspiration behind the unique thong.

Rakhi is inspired by the American reality TV star
Kim Kardashian.

“I’ve been inspired by reality TV star Kim Kardashian to wear C-string panties in my show. Usme strings nahi hai, use pehnna daring wala kaam hai,” Rakhi is quoted to have said.

What’s funnier is that the item girl wants panties in three colours: red, pink and purple. She claims that she will be the first Indian actress to wear these weird thongs. The producers are believed to have spent about Rs. 75 lakh on Rakhi’s dresses only.

The item girl has sprung back into headlines with her sensational statements about wanting to marry Baba Ramdev.
